PAPA | PEET is the new soul-blues eruption hailing from Whadjuk Country, Perth.
Formed by band leader/guitarist/producer Jules Peet (Old Blood, Sad King Billy and ex Southern River Band) and vocalist Tony Papa-Adams (Old Blood) the outfit is the premiere partnership from two of the Perth scene’s biggest souls.
Like a hot bowl of gumbo the four-piece combine influences of southern soul, delta blues, desert rock and west coast swagger to keep their audiences guessing, moving and feeling through an ever-evolving experience. Papa-Adams’ voice roars, cries and whispers audiences into the palm of his hand whilst Peet’s guitar weaves through the chaos, steering the band through deep swampy moods to galloping grooves. Every show is different and it’s no wonder crowds keep coming back for more.
